Wilma F. Letcher Obituary (1919 - 2008)

Wilma F. Letcher, 89, of Destin, FL formerly of Stonington died at 7:45 am Sunday, June 29, 2008 at her residence. She was born February 28, 1919 in Stonington, the daughter of Fred and Hazel Salisbury Allen. Her step mother was Sadie Beard Allen. On June 26, 1937 she married Thomas J. Letcher in Stonington, IL. He preceded her in death on October 22, 2005. Mrs. Letcher and her husband were life long residents of Stonington prior to moving to Destin, FL in 2001. She was a homemaker and a member of Stonington United Methodist Church. Surviving are her son: Fred Letcher and wife Denise of Santa Fe, NM; daughters: Janice O'Conner of Santa Rosa Beach, FL and Phyllis Flowers of Destin, FL. 7 Grandchildren: Allen Letcher and wife Missy of Stonington, Becky Chambers and husband Bob of Chillicothe, IL, Bob Wiltfong and wife Diana of Plainfield, IL, Tracy O'Hara and husband Tom of Germantown, TN, Margo Haney and husband Dave of Chesapeake, VA, Jenny Midgley and husband Jamie of New Orleans, LA and John Flowers of Destin, FL. 10 Great Grandchildren: Brock Letcher, Tristan Letcher, Hunter Chambers, Danny Wiltfong, Adam Wiltfong, Steven O'Hara, Shannon O'Hara, Dylan O'Hara, Sami Unterseh and Luke Unterseh. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, July 3, 2008 in McClure Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Radae officiating. Burial will be in Old Stonington Cemetery.
