Virginia B. Hebenstreit Obituary (1910 - 2013)

Virginia B. Hebenstreit, 103, of Warner Robins, GA, formerly of Tampa, FL and Stonington died peacefully Friday, December 27 in Georgia. She was born March 18, 1910 in Marissa, IL the daughter of Joseph A. and Mary Ellen Calvert Pollock. On April 29, 1943 she married Andrew L. Hebenstreit in Oconee, IL He preceded her in death in 1955. Mrs. Hebenstreit was a graduate of Stonington High School and Brown's Business College in Decatur, IL. She was Past Worthy Matron of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 209, and was Past Royal Matron of Majestic Court # 45 pf Amaranth in Tampa, FL. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and volunteered for many years at University Community Hospital, In Tampa, FL. Surviving are her sons: John Joseph Hebenstreit and Charles Andrew Hebenstreit and wife Sara all of Warner Robbins, GA. There are 9 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, and 7 Great-Great Grandchildren. There are several nieces and nephews including Janet and Gene Hurelbrink of Stonington, Sue Ann and Robert Young of Warrensburg, and Jim and Christi Pollock of Springfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Brothers: Lester Pollock, John Pollock, Robert Pollock, and Dwight Pollock and 2 Granddaughters: Jennifer Hebenstreit and Connie Gary. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, January 5, 2014 in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery Oconee, IL.
