Sheila S. Parish Obituary (1946 - 2022)

Sheila S. Parish, 75 of Taylorville, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Unity Point Methodist Hospital in Peoria. She was born on September 8, 1946 in Taylorville. She married Jimmie Parish in 1964, and he preceded her in death in 1974. Sheila graduated from Kincaid High School and previously taught Bible School for several years. She will be remembered by her sweet, kind-hearted personality, and more than anything, she loved her family. She is survived by her children: Angela Durbin (Dave) and Cindy Nation (Evert) of Taylorville, and Jimmie Parish (Karen) of Tiskilwa, Illinois; grandchildren: Justin Durbin, Jessica Durbin (Chris), Zachary Durbin (Amber), Christopher Durbin, Cody Durbin (Brooke), Tyler Parish, Alex Parish, and Mylie Nation; and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother: Nellie Cole-Shellhammer and husband: Jimmie Parish. Mrs. Parish will be cremated, and a memorial graveside service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the Horse Creek Cemetery, Pawnee. Following the graveside service, the family is hosting a luncheon at Mity's Pub in Taylorville. McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
