Romanza L. Beaty Obituary (1935 - 2012)

Romanza L. Beaty, 77, of Taylorville, IL died at 2:40 pm Sunday, November 25, 2012 at her residence. She was born July 10, 1935 in Springfield, IL the daughter of Charles and Essie M. Melvin Applegate. On November 27, 1955 she married Donald L. Beaty at the Edinburg United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on May 6, 2008. Mrs. Beaty was a member and Trustee of Bethel Baptist Church in Sharpsburg. She farmed and was a member of the American Suffolk Association, and was a bailiff for the Christian County Courthouse following her retirement from A.F.S.C.M.E. Council 31. Surviving are her children: Todd J. Beaty and wife Roberta of Taylorville, Kelly L. Beaty of Morris, IL, and Suzanne Beaty of Chicago. There are two grandchildren: Zachary Beaty of Somonauk, IL and Kelsey Beaty of Taylorville. Great Grandson: Cooper Donald Beaty of Somonauk, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister, Gerry Ratliff. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Ted Marrinan officiating.
