Rohima Lucille Minks Obituary (1908 - 2006)

Rohima Lucille Minks, 97, of Owaneco, IL died at 7:20 AM Thursday, March 30, 2006 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Pana, IL. She was born August 28, 1908 in Lakewood, IL, the daughter of Oliver and Emma Giberson Askins. On June 27, 1931 she married Chester H. Minks in Paris, IL and he preceded in death on February 18, 1976. Mrs. Minks was a member of the Owaneco United Methodist Church and was formerly employed by Lakelawn Inn at Pana, IL. Surviving are three sons, Gloyd Askins and wife Jean of Pana, IL; Chester Minks and wife Mary Lou of Blue Mound, IL; Kenneth Minks and wife Ann of Decatur, IL; 2 sisters: Lena Hocq of Shelbyville, IL and Bernadine Fulford of Pana, IL. There are 15 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sons: Richard Minks and William O. Minks, 2 brothers, three sisters, and a great granddaughter, Lori Askins. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, April 1, 2006 at Owaneco Cemetery with Rev. Diwan Tiwade officiating. There will be no visitation. McClure Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
