Rodell V. Norris, 84 of Palmer, IL died at 1:45 am Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital. He was born May 3, 1923 in Owaneco, IL the son of Charles F. and Nancy E. Prior Norris. On May 18, 1943 he married Irene Brown at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylorville. Mr. Norris was a retired farmer and a member of Christian County Farm Bureau. Surviving are his wife, Irene of Palmer, Sons: Robert Norris and wife Mary Tena of Palmer, Larry Norris and wife Barbara Scharmer of Taylorville and Mike Norris and fiancee Lori Strayer of Palmer. Brothers: Gene Norris and wife Donna of Florissant, MO and Jack Norris of Plainfield, IL. Sisters: Wilma Long of Mt. Auburn and Mary Lou Ford and husband Tim of Arlington, TX. There are 6 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Charles Norris and Paul Norris. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Taylorville with Father Alan Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Monday at McClure Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30. Memorials may be made to Taylorville Memorial Hospital Pastoral Care, 201 E.
