Mildred C. Painter, 100, of Taylorville, IL formerly of Canton, IL died at 5:50 pm Sunday, October 12, 2003 in Golden Manor Nursing Center, Nokomis, IL. She was born June 4, 1903 in Decatur, IL the daughter of William and Susan Cosgrove Myers. On November 22, 1922 she married John Painter in Taylorville, IL and he preceded in death on December 6, 1961. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Canton, IL; Altar and Rosary Society in Canton, and the Women's Club of Beardstown, IL. She is survived by her daughter, Norma Lyall of Hardy, AR; 4 Grandchildren, Mary Lyall of San Francisco, CA, Margaret Hammond, John Lyall and Joseph Lyall all of Champaign, IL. Great Grandson, Nathan Martin of Champaign, IL. Niece Betty Jean Nagle of Taylorville and a nephew Robert Martin of Kenosha, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Grandson, James Lyall, 2 Brothers and 2 Sisters. Funeral Services will be at 11:30 am Thursday, October 16, 2003 in McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville, IL. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the funeral home on Thursday.
