Martha A. Young Obituary (1925 - 2007)

Martha A. Young, 81, of Odon, Indiana, formerly of Springfield died at 6:23 pm Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at Ketcham Memorial Nursing Center, Odon, IN. She was born December 26, 1925 in Baltimore, MD the daughter of Harry Webster and Maude Virginia Meushaw Brenner. On May 11, 1946 she married Maurice F. Young and he preceded her in death on December 22, 1980. Mrs. Young was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Springfield and was a former employee of the State of Illinois. Surviving are her son: Christopher A. Young and wife Sharon of Charleston, IL and a daughter Lynn Brown and husband Nelson of Odon, IN. 5 Grandchildren: Ryan L. Bass of Bloomington, IN, Jamie L. Bass of Elnora, IN, Eric T. Bass of Washington, IN, Debra L. Booker of Riverton, IL and Tracy A. Geist of Springfield, IL. Sister: Elaine Wilson of Pittsburgh, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Barbara Bononi and a grandson Timothy D. Bononi. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, December 17, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Stonington with Rev. William Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Old Stonington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until time of service on Monday in the Church. McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
