Marcella L. Achenbach Obituary (1918 - 2002)

Marcella L. Achenbach, 84, of Taylorville, IL died at 11:15 pm Sunday, August 18, 2002 in St. Vincent Memorial Hospital, Taylorville, IL. She was born March 19, 1918 in Taylorville, IL the daughter of Ennis B. and Lenna Wheeler Estes. On May 30, 1940 she married Gordon T. Achenbach in St. Charles, MO and he preceded in death on October 13, 1994. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in Taylorville, IL. She is survived by a son, Phil Achenbach of Taylorville and one sister, Texanna Phares of Taylorville. Preceding her in death was her parents, husband, one brother, John Estes, and three sisters, Elnora Warren, Lucille Milslagle and Ada Bulpitt. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, August 21, 2002 in McClure Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Icenogle officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the funeral home on Wedneday. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Taylorville.
