Marcella E. Lush Obituary (1928 - 2015)

Marcella E. Lush, 86, of Morrisonville, died at 5:50 pm Friday, September 11, 2015 at Hillsboro Rehabilitation and Health Care. She was born December 8, 1928 in Taylorville, IL the daughter of Rudolph Francis and Anna Margaret Brendle Herkert. On October 24, 1953 she married Joe P. Lush at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylorville. Mrs. Lush was a farmwife her entire life. Marcella was known as an accomplished seamstress and she loved flowers, but her greatest love was her family. Surviving are her husband Joe of Morrisonville; Children: Wanda Moore of Morrisonville, Dennis Lush and wife Joyce of Taylorville, Brenda Whalen and companion Jim Beaty and Christine Lush all of Morrisonville, Ronald Lush and wife Doris of Kincaid and Martha Neal and husband Sam of Pawnee. There are 15 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 Sisters: Theresa Atkinson, Madonna Herkert and Frances Cocagne and a Brother: Rudolph "Rudy" Herkert. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, September 18 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Monsignor David Lantz officiating. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Riverton. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Thursday at McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville. McClure Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
