Lucille Kahl Obituary (1909 - 2004) - Taylorville, Illinois

Lucille M. Kahl, 94, of Jonesboro, AR, formerly of Taylorville, IL died at 6:00 am Saturday, January 10, 2004 at her son's home in Jonesboro, AR. She was born September 11, 1909 in Springfield, IL the daughter of Harry and Leona Rhoads Hann. On December 23, 1934 she married Gene Kahl in St. Louis, MO and he preceded in death on October 15, 1991. Mrs. Kahl had been a sales associate at Shirlee Shop in Taylorville for many years and was a member of Davis Memorial Christian Church in Taylorville. She is survived by two sons: Darrell Kahl and wife Dina of Jonesboro, AR and Richard Kahl and wife Barbara of Farmington Hills, MI. 4 Grandchildren: Heidi Sickles, Cheryl Quinlan, Richard Kahl and Tammy Latham. 9 Great Grandchildren: Michael Sickles, Matthew Sickles, Erica Cashion, Taylor Quinlan, Brittany Kahl, Brandon Kahl, Craig Latham, Hannah Latham and Scott Latham. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, Harry Hann and 1 grandson Craig Kahl. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, January 17, 2004 at Davis Memorial Christian Church in Taylorville, IL with Dr. Hugh Reynolds and Rev. Jim Whitaker officiating. Burial will be at 12:30 pm in the Shipman Cemetery, Shipman, IL. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until time of service in the church on Saturday.
