Kevin D. Easton Obituary (1959 - 2017)

Kevin D. Easton, 58, of Mechanicsburg passed away at 5:56a.m. on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 in home. He was born on January 21, 1959 in Chicago, the son of Frank R. and Lewann (Groan) Easton. On August 30, 1986 he married Lori A. Hyde in Pittsfield. Kevin retired from the State of Illinois, Capital Development Board as a Senior Project Manager. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the Chatham Baptist Church. Kevin loved to fish, golf and spend time with his family. He is survived by his wife: Lori Easton of Mechanicsburg; sons: Eric Easton of Riverton, Taylor Easton (Rita) of Dawson, and Todd Easton (Shaye) of Pawnee; grandchildren: Conner Easton, James Houlihan, Wyatt Easton, Carter Easton, Grace Easton, and a new grandbaby due in January; brother: Ken Easton (Deb) of Sherman; sister: Karen Ferguson (Ed) of Bloomington; step mother: Linda Easton of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. In accordance with Kevins wishes, he will be cremated and no services will be held at this time. Inurnment will take place at McKinney Cemetery in Springfield at a later date. Memorials in Kevins memory may be made to the St. Johns Childrens Hospital. McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
