Jody Lynn Higgason Obituary (1964 - 2006)

Jody Lynn Higgason, 41, of Taylorville, IL died at 4:20 pm Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at his residence. He was born December 5, 1964 in Taylorville, the son of Grover Lynn Higgason and Kerry Lee Orlandi Higgason Buckler. On May 11, 1985 he married Carolyn Leigh Buckler in Taylorville. Mr. Higgason was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Edinburg, IL and was self employed with J. Higgason Excavating, Inc. Surviving are his wife Carolyn of Taylorville, IL; Sons: Chad Andrew Higgason, Drew David Higgason and Alec Marc Higgason all of Taylorville. Parents: Grover and Elaine Higgason of Edinburg and Kerry and Robert Buckler of Wytheville, VA. Grandmothers: Evelyn Cloninger of Pana, IL; Bertha Fesser of Kincaid, IL and Alice Haren of Pontiac, IL. Father-in-law and mother-in-law: Gerald and Donna Buckler of Pontiac, IL. Brother: Jon Higgason of Pawnee, IL and sisters: Michelle Higgason of Kincaid and Letetia Matula and husband Seth of Lake Monticello, VA. Half Brothers: Christian Higgason and Luke Higgason of Edinburg. Step-brother: William Buckler of Taylorville and Step-sister: Kathy Foster of Taylorville. Sisters-in-law: Ann Johnson and husband Eric of Elgin, IL; Kay Reisbich and husband Dennis of Dundee, IL and Monica Conner and husband Lonnie of Decatur. Brother-in-law: Andrew Buckler of Elgin, IL. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a daughter Bailee Latisha Higgason and grandparents Martin and Mary Higgason, Frank Orlandi, Katherine Buckler, Robert Fesser and Step-grandfather Byron Cloninger. Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Monday, October 23, 2006 in McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville, IL with Pastor Gaylord Spilker officiating. Burial will be in Edinburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm Sunday October 22 in the Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Taylorville F.F.A.
