Jessie K. Lanzotti Obituary (1907 - 2005)

Jessie K. Lanzotti, 98, of Taylorville, IL died at 1:50 am December 19, 2005 at Meadow Manor N.H., Taylorville, IL. She was born October 23, 1907 in Little Crab, TN, the daughter of Sam and Margaret Bond Kerney. She previously was married to Mike Mills, Howard Griffin and Louis Brown, all who preceded her in death. She then married Pete Lanzotti on March 2, 1980 in Taylorville, IL and he preceded in death on April 17, 1988. Mrs. Lanzotti retired in 1972 as an Assistant Manager of G.C. Murphy Co. in Ft. Worth, TX. While in Ft. Worth she received a life membership in the Women's Society of Christian Service for the Edge Park United Methodist Church and held offices with the district including Treasurer, Secretary and Chairman of Worship. She was currently a member of the First United Methodist Church in Taylorville, the Thelo Class of the church and Women of the Moose. She is survived by a son, William H. Griffin and wife Mary of Hanover, IN; 2 step sons: Robert Lanzotti of Symrna, GA and Lee Lanzotti and wife Brenda of Taylorville, IL Sister: Ruby Deihs of Taylorville, IL. 5 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 husbands, a daughter, Mary Kathleen Hildebrand; 1 brother and 4 sisters. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville, IL with Rev. Bill Frazier and Linda Vonck officiating. Burial will be in Ponting Cemetery, Stonington, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 200 S. Walnut, Taylorville, IL.
