Hester Phares Obituary (1908 - 2008)

Hester Phares, 99, of Taylorville, IL died at 8:18 pm Sunday, April 20, 2008 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital. She was born May 10, 1908 in Moweaqua, IL the daughter of Harry and Anna Baker McPeek. On June 12, 1926 she married Orrin R. Phares in Taylorville, IL and he preceded her in death on September 26, 1991. She was a member of Crossroads Apostolic Ministries in Taylorville and was a homemaker. Surviving are 2 sons: Dwight Phares and wife Delores of Findley, IL and John Phares and wife Kim of Taylorville and a daughter Betty Boils of Taylorville. Brother: Carl McPeek of Auburn, MI. There are 18 Grandchildren, 35 Great Grandchildren and 26 Great-Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Ethel Fesser, 2 Grandchildren, 1 sister and 4 brothers. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at McClure Funeral Home with Brother Jason Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Tuesday, April 22 at McClure Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or Crossroads Apostolic Ministries in Taylorville.
