Herman C. Goodall, 88, of Taylorville died at 11:27 pm Wednesday, November 21, 2001 @ St. Vincent Memorial Hospital Taylorville, IL. He was born October 31, 1913 in Flippin, Kentucky, the son of Odes C. and Iva Kirby Goodall. On August 22, 1937 he married Mary Loretta Vancil in Morrisonville, IL. Mr. Goodall was a member of First United Methodist Church, Taylorville, United Mine Workers of America, was a former miner at Peabody Mines #8 and #9 and retired in 1975 from Wagner Casting in Decatur. Surviving is his wife, Loretta Goodall of Taylorville. Son: David Goodall and wife Phyllis of Taylorville. 2 Daughters: Sharon Yates and Brenda Lanzotti and husband Lee of Taylorville. There are 8 Grandchildren: Terri Johnson, Joni Ellingson, Angie McMahon, Andy Goodall, Beth White, Raymond Long, Jeff Long, Jennifer Stillwell. 12 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-great Grandchildren. His parents, 1 brother, Bueal Goodall, 2 sisters, Katherine Goodall and Ruby Kiefer and 1 granddaughter, Kristine Lanzotti preceded Mr. Goodall in death. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 26, 2001 in McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville with Dr. Phillip Icenogle officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday November 25 in the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Taylorville. McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville is in charge of arrangements.
