Hattie A. Bates Obituary (1929 - 2009)

Hattie A. Bates, 79, of Taylorville, IL died at 5:19 pm, Sunday, April 12, 2009 at Taylorville Care Center. She was born July 2, 1929 in Pana, IL the daughter of Earl G. and Mabel Hedges Bates. Miss Bates was a homemaker and had been employed at Christian County Mental Health Workshop. She was affiliated with Davis Memorial Christian Church. Surviving are special friends: Donna and Ron Pyle and Jack Beatty all of Taylorville. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and one sister. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 15 at Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor Bob Spurgin officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm 1:45 at McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville.
