Goldie Hinton Obituary (1936 - 2004)

Goldie Hinton, 67, of Champaign, IL formerly of Mt. Auburn, IL died at 8:31 am Saturday, September 11, 2004 in Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL. She was born December 20, 1936 in Mt. Auburn, IL the daughter of Ted and Alberta Dunn Ridgeway. On July 11, 1958 she married Wilbert Dean Hinton in Mt. Auburn. Mrs. Hinton was a member of the Mt. Auburn Church of Christ and had been employed by the Champaign County Health Department, retiring in 1995. Her husband Dean retired from the U.S. Army in May 1982 and then worked for the US Immigration Service until his retirement in August 1999. Surviving are her husband: Dean Hinton of Champaign, IL; Mother: Alberta Ridgeway of Mt. Auburn, IL; 2 sons: Michael Dean Hinton and wife Marsha of Wilmington, OH and Troy Lynn Hinton of Mahomet, IL. 4 Grandchildren: Samantha Hinton, Molly Hinton, Travis Hinton and Cassie Hinton. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, September 16, 2004 in McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the funeral home on Thursday.
