Fred John Torricelli Obituary (1950 - 2002)

Fred John Torricelli, 51, of Taylorville, died at 8:34 pm Sunday, January 13, 2002 at St. Vincent Memorial Hospital, Taylorville. He was born, June 21, 1950 in Taylorville, the son of Fred and Evadine Dees Torricelli. On August 3, 1974 Fred married Donna Hill in Taylorville. Fred was a member of First United Methodist Church, Taylorville and was a caseworker for the Department of Human Services in Taylorville. He was a 1968 Graduate of Taylorville High School and attended Lincolnland College, Eastern Illinois University and Memorial Medical Center School of Respiratory Therapy. Fred was a well-known vocalist and had been the former Taylorville City Treasurer from 1979-1989 and was currently city Alderman for Ward #3. He is survived by his wife, Donna of Taylorville. One daughter, Sara Torricelli and fiance Nate Taulbee of Normal, IL; Sister: Virginia McQuire of Taylorville; Mother-in-law Frances Hill of Taylorville; Sister-in-law Susie Morrissey and husband Dale of Campaign and Nieces and nephews Bruce Olson, Michelle Gustafson and Tracy Wilhour. His parents and 1 niece Rhonda Olson preceded him in death. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, January 16, 2002 in First United Methodist Church, Taylorville with Dr. Randall J. Perry officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday in McClure Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Taylorville or the Taylorville Municipal Band.
