Floy Zeigler Richmond Obituary (1897 - 2004)

Floy Aleta Zeigler Richmond, 106, of Taylorville, IL died at 12:00 pm Wednesday, August 18, 2004 in St. Vincent Memorial Hospital, Taylorville, IL. She was born August 28, 1897 in Prairieton Twp. the daughter of Louis W. and Carrie Lockwood Zeigler. On May 11, 1918 she married LeVoy F. Richmond in Taylorville, IL and he preceded in death on December 4, 1960. Mrs. Richmond was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Taylorville, and was a charter member of the Taylorville Lioness Club, charter member of the Taylorville Country Club and a 50 year member of the Taylorville Women's Club. She enjoyed her home, family, friends, gardening and cards. Surviving are her daughter, Elaine Richmond Dunn and husband Harry M. of Excelsior, MN.; Sister, Lucille Zeigler Frisina of Taylorville, IL; Grandchildren: Larry Bernardini of San Francisco, CA, Rev. Kevin Dunn and wife Barbara of Milaca, MN and Kelly Dunn and wife Loretta of Hudson, WI. 7 Great Grandchildren: Joey Cohen, Karli Kennedy, Jayme Westling, Joel Dunn, Janelle Dunn, Trevor Dunn and Natalie Dunn. 3 Great-Great Grandchildren: Lauren Cohen, Wilson Cohen and Austin Westling. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Arlene Richmond Bernardini, and a grandson Marty Bernardini. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am Monday, August 23, 2004 in First United Methodist Church, Taylorville, IL with Rev. Kevin Dunn officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Monday. Memorials may be made to the Taylorville Y.M.C.A. 900 McAdam Drive Taylorville, IL 62568.
