Eleanor H. Erbes Obituary (1923 - 2018)

Eleanor H. Erbes, 94 of Taylorville, died at 5:24 Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Vibra Hospital in Springfield. Eleanor was born on September 27, 1923, in Chicago, the daughter of Joseph and Helen (Ores) Hulvey. She married Marcel Erbes on August 9, 1943 in Amarillo, Texas, and he preceded her in death on June 6, 2001. Eleanor was retired from the Supervisors of Assessments office. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Christian County Senior Citizens. Eleanor is survived by her son-in-law, Larry Freese of Taylorville; her grandson, Jeremy Freese of Taylorville; several cousins, nephews, and one niece. In addition to her husband, Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter: Sandy Freese; and two brothers: Gordon Hulvey and Joseph Hulvey. A private family funeral will be held, and Eleanor will be laid to rest in Ponting Cemetery in Stonington.
