Dorothy Lucille Gaffron Obituary (1922 - 2019)

Dorothy Lucille Gaffron, 97 of Taylorville passed away at 8:13a.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019 in the Taylorville Care Center. She was born on January 27, 1922 in Carlinville, the daughter of Thomas Elmer and Pearl Florence (Supinger) DeSart. She married Owen "Mickey" H. Gaffron on September 16, 1957 in Dallas, Texas. He preceded her in death on March 7, 1994. Dorothy was a homemaker and previously worked as a beautician at Howards Beauty Shop in Taylorville. She is survived by her niece: Jane Baird, husband Bill, of Taylorville as well as great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters: Mildred Traughber and Edna Prater; and brother: Thomas DeSart. In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated, and no services are planned. McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
