Delores Imogene Doan Obituary (1927 - 2006)

Delores Imogene Doan, 78, of Edinburg, IL died at 7:45 am Thursday, February 16, 2006 at Taylorville Care Center, Taylorville, IL. She was born April 18, 1927 in Fredricksburg, IN the daughter of Orville and Mildred Boston Tarr. On May 29, 1947 she married Rev. William Glenn Doan at the Edinburg Christian Church in Edinburg. Mrs. Doan was a member of Davis Memorial Christian Church in Taylorville, former member of Edinburg Christian Church, and was retired from A.I.G. Insurance. Surviving are her husband: Rev. William Glenn Doan of Edinburg, IL; Daughter: Patricia Ann "Pat" Holmes of Taylorville, IL; 6 Grandchildren: Carrie Broughton of Canton, IL, Michael Bross of Phoenix City, AL, Jacki Holmes of Taylorville, IL, Sherri Holmes of Blue Mound, IL, Eric Doan and wife Melissa of Edinburg, IL and William L. Doan of Rockford, IL. There are 21 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son William Eugene Doan. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am Monday, February 20, 2006 at Davis Memorial Christian Church, Taylorville, with Dr. Lonnie Southern and Rev. Vicki Southern officiating. Burial will be in Edinburg Cemetery, Edinburg, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm Sunday, February 19, 2006 at McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville, IL.
