Darrell Earnest Stockon Obituary (1949 - 2008)

Darrell Earnest Stockon, 59, of Palmer, IL died at 12:52 am Sunday, August 3, 2008 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL. He was born June 7, 1949 in Trenton, MI, the son of Kenneth Russell and Flora Lee Rash Stockon. He first married Debeleen Jean Neathery in May 1972 and she preceded him in death on March 15, 1999. He then married Bonnie K. Wheeler on April 29, 2000 in Palmer, IL. Mr. Stockon was a former truck driver and a member of the Teamsters. Surviving are his wife Bonnie K. Stockon of Palmer; Children: Corlyn "Dion" Stockon of Long Beach, CA, Jennifer Ann Tomkins of East Livergood, OH, Matthew Stockon of Springfield, Candice Noel Stockon of Casey, Gregory Michael Lowe of Casey, James Richard Lowe of Beecher City, Kenneth Ray Lowe of Stewardson and Terry Jacob Duvall of Casey. Brothers: Russell "Tony" Stockon of Palmer and Ronald Stockon of Stonington and a sister Gwendoln Fleigle of Taylorville. There are 32 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife and parents. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, August 7, 2008 at McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville with Rev. Chad Foster officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the funeral home.
