Charlouise F. Ducy Obituary (1915 - 2003)

Charlouise F. Ducy, 87, of Taylorville, IL formerly of Stonington, IL died at 12:05 am Sunday, March 23, 2003 in St. Vincent Memorial Hospital, Taylorville. She was born June 16, 1915 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Charles and Louise Ritchey Foster. On October 14, 1942 she married John D. Ducy in St. Charles, MO and he preceded in death on March 13, 1995. Surviving: Sister, Marilyn Wood; Nephew, Tom Wood and wife Kit C. and a niece Heidi Lynn Nichols and husband Steve all of Phoenix, AZ. Great Nieces and Nephew: Nicole Wood, Stephani Nichols, Marki Lynn Nichols and J.T. Nichols all of Phoenix. Brother-in-law: Joseph C. Ducy and wife Ada both of Decatur, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Mrs. Ducy had been a teacher at Stonington High School, in Stonington, IL for over 40 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Taylorville, B.P.W. and Retired Teacher's Association. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, April 1, 2003 in First United Methodist Church in Taylorville with Rev. Dr. Phil Icenogle officiating. Burial will be in Old Stonington Cemetery, Stonington, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the church on Tuesday.
