Charles M. Zamboni Obituary (1929 - 2006)

Charles M. Zamboni, 76, of Taylorville, IL died at 12:30 am Friday, March 10, 2006 at his residence. He was born June 18, 1929 in Denver, CO, the son of Martin and Maria Larcker Zamboni, and moved to Taylorville as an infant. He married Florence J. Stanley on June 3, 1961 at the First Presbyterian Church in Taylorville. Mr. Zamboni retired in 1994 from Pepsi after 36 years of service. He was an Army veteran, member of V.F.W. Post 4495 and was affiliated with the First United Methodist Church in Taylorville. Surviving is his wife Florence Zamboni of Taylorville, daughter, Ann E. McDaniel and husband Brian of Joliet, a grandson, Charles Graeme McDaniel and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a half brother Herman Dalry. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville, IL with Rev. Nic Showalter officiating. Inurnment with military honors will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service in the funeral home.
