Carole Jean Traughber Obituary (1934 - 2005)

Carole Joann Traughber, 71, of Stonington, IL died at 6:00 am Friday, August 19, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL. She was born February 22, 1934 in Stonington, IL the daughter of Paul H. and Wilma Crist Brown. On February 11, 1956 she married Darrell Lee Traughber in Christian County and he preceded in death on June 4, 1967. Mrs. Traughber was employed with the Christian County Sheriff's Office for over 25 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Stonington, IL, taught Red Cross swimming lessons and was active in other charitable organizations. Surviving are her sons: Jay Traughber and wife Suzy of Taylorville, IL, Michael Traughber of Palmyra, IL; daughter: Kim Trump and husband Ronald of Decatur, IL; Grandchildren: Courtney Trump, Morgan Trump, Robert Spinner, Ryan Traughber, Kaitlynn Suzanne Traughber, Jason Darrell Traughber and Nathan Richard Traughber and Brother Robert G. Brown and wife Helen of Taylorville, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter-in-law Melody Traughber. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am Monday, August 22, 2005 in McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville, IL with Rev. Patty Waterman officiating. Burial will be in Old Stonington Cemetery, Stonington, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm Sunday, August 21, 2005 in McClure funeral Home, Taylorville, IL. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church, Stonington, IL.
