C. F. Bertinetti Obituary (1910 - 2004)

C.F. Bertinetti, 94, of Taylorville, IL died at 1:10 pm Friday, May 07, 2004 in St. Vincent Memorial Hospital, Taylorville, IL. He was born May 4, 1910 in Cedar Point, IL, the son of Doro and Theresa Rolfo Bertinetti. On October 15, 1938 he married Pearl Sanders in Elgin, IL. Mr. Bertinetti was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylorville and the Knights of Columbus Council 2120. He was a land developer of Bertinetti Lake and Fairlane Subdivisions, and was a charter member of the Taylorville Builder's Association. He was a Democrat precinct committeeman for 60 years. He served as the Christian County Democrat Vice-Chairman for 18 years and was Christian County Democrat Party Chairman for 23 years, retiring in 1991. Mr. Bertinetti also held various high level positions with the State of Illinois for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Pearl Bertinetti of Taylorville, IL; 2 daughters, Carolyn Bertinetti of Springfield, IL and Debi Rahar and husband Bruce of Taylorivlle. 4 grandchildren: Mara Bertinetti of Springfield, IL, Kerri Mahan and husband Christopher "Kit" of Vienna, IL, Richard Rahar of Pana, IL and Michael Rahar of Taylorville, IL. 2 great grandchildren, Tony Bavetta and Danny Bavetta both of Springfield. His parents, three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 11, 2004 in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylorville, IL with Father Alan Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Monday, May10, in McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville, IL.
