Bernice Gesell, 83, of Taylorville, IL died at 7:02 am Wednesday, March 17, 2004 in St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL. She was born November 23, 1920 in Stonington, IL, the daughter of George and Nona Pyle Bollinger. On December 5, 1945 she married Glenn H. Gesell at the Methodist Church in Taylorville, IL. She was formerly employed by Dr. Hiem and Dr. Giovagnoli in Taylorville. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Taylorville. Surviving are her husband Glenn Gesell of Taylorville; 2 Sons, Larry R. Gesell and wife Lois of Mason, Ky and Leonard A. Gesell and wife Debbie of Taylorville. 2 Brothers, Keith Bollinger and wife Clara of Springfield, IL and George Bollinger and wife Oneta of Versailles, KY. One sister, Erma Gesell of Kincaid; 4 Grandchildren, Jodi Carron of Fisher, IN, Ryan Gesell of Mechanicsburg, PA, Stephanie Shell of Montclair, NJ and Leanne Gesell of Taylorville. There are 7 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ray Bollinger. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, March 20, 2004 in McClure Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Frazier officiating. Burial will be in Old Stonington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, March 19, 2004 in McClure Funeral Home Taylorville, IL.
