Austin Ozzie Hemingway Obituary (1944 - 2015)

Austin "Ozzie" Hemingway, 70, of Mt. Auburn, IL died at 2:45 pm Thursday, March 19, 2015 at his residence. He was born December 31, 1944 in Taylorville, IL the son of Austin A. and Olga Jouglet Hemingway. On April 27, 1969 he married Pamela Sue Jordan in Mt. Auburn. Ozzie was a retired miner working for Peabody Coal Company at Mine #10 and Marrissa. He was a member of Kedron Lodge #340 A.F. and A.M. in Mt. Auburn, Ansar Shrine and United Mine Workers of America Local 9819. Surviving are his wife: Pam Hemingway of Mt. Auburn; Sons: Jim Hemingway and fiancee Peggy Morgan of Edinburg and Jarred Hemingway of Springfield; Grandchildren: Austin Hemingway and Colton Hemingway both of Chatham and Sister: Carolyn Grant and husband Lawrence of Owaneco. There are several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held at McClure Funeral Home Taylorville, IL from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 22. Masonic Rites will be conducted at 3:00 pm and graveside services will follow in Grove City Cemetery with Rev. Chad Foster officiating.
