Arthur E. Dr. Helm Obituary (1905 - 2005)

Dr. Arthur E."Doc" Helm, 99, of Moweaqua, IL formerly of Taylorville, IL died at 6:45 am Saturday, June 18, 2005 at Moweaqua Nursing Center, Moweaqua, IL. He was born December 22, 1905 in Mt. Olive, IL, the son of Guido and Emma Roehl Helm. On November 24, 1931 he married Frances T. Terlip. Dr. Helm was a graduate of Mt. Olive High School, Washington University Dental School, he was a veteran of World War II serving in the Dental Corps from October 1942 until the war's end in 1945. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylorville and a 50-year member of American Legion Post 73. Dr. Helm came to Taylorville as an Assistant to the late L.T. Lundy. Surviving are his wife, Frances Helm of Moweaqua, IL; Son John Helm and wife Betty of Moweaqua, IL; Daughter, Jane Justis and husband Quinton of Grand Junction, CO; 4 Grandchildren: Beth Ann Sams and husband Brad of Moweaqua, IL, Ryan Helm of Phoeniz, AZ, Mark Helm of Stockton, IL and Joshua Justis and wife LeShay of Grand Junction, CO. 2 Great Grandchildren: Teryn Sams and Lanie Sams of Moweaqua, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Graveside Services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville at 11:00 am Tuesday, June 21, 1005 with Father Alan Hunter officiating. There will be no visitation.
