Alfred R. Westrick Obituary (1926 - 2007)

Alfred R. Westrick, 81, of Taylorville, IL died at 6:45 am Sunday, April 1, 2007 at Meadow Manor Nursing Home, Taylorville. He was born February 20, 1926 in Kalamazoo, MI, the son of Alfred J. and Lucille Wiegand Westrick. On June 3, 1950 he married Helen Marie Unland in Kalamazoo, MI and she preceded him in death on December 10, 2005. Mr. Westrick was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylorville, Vice-President of Sangamon, Inc. and a Navy Veteran of World War II. Surviving are 4 Sons: Martin Westrick and wife Salisa of Normal, IL, Gordian Johnson and wife Jodi of Germany, John Westrick and wife Suzanne of St. Paul, MN and Daniel Westrick and wife Teresa of Jacksonville, IL. 4 daughters: Frances Westrick of Denver, CO, Theresa Cozzani and husband Charles of Glen Ellyn, IL, Meg Kettelkamp and husband Bruce of Taylorville and Susan Robben and husband Richard of Breese, IL. 23 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. 2 Brothers: George Westrick and wife Alice of Taylorville and Howard Westrick and wife Kay of Plainfield, IL and Sister-in-law: Mary Westrick of LaGrange, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one brother, Robert Westrick. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylorville with Fr. Alan Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Tuesday, April 3, 2007 in McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville, IL.
